By communicating through chatting, texting, Facebook, etc., students may not even realize they are learning. Discussing an assignment or quiz that they took in class adds reinforcement for that topic. Informal learning through social networking is instant and interactive; therefore, students are less bored learning this way. And they are able to learn from a variety of people at anytime. Sharing information is one of the fastest ways that people learn. Through social networking people can quickly connect to one another. According to Jay Cross, a big part of learning is connecting with other people. Online social networks are always available (not dependent on time, weather, or location). By connecting with the right people, information can be accessed when needed, absorbed quickly and learning can be applied almost instanteously. On social networks, people with similar interests gravitate to one another and cause interactions which generate information learning in a relaxed atmosphere.	Joan
